Hatton Traffic launched the first Electric vehicle to the fleet in 2020 in the Chelmsford area. Following this first vehicle we have now progressed to our fleet being 7% electric.
Support where its needed
Hatton Traffic are a socially responsible company, as an example we currently sponsor Needham Market Youth U14’s football club. They are a grassroots 11 a-side team and play in the Ipswich & Suffolk Youth Football League.
Embracing a new future
Hatton Traffic are installers of Solar Sound Panels (SSP) which are a great way of using the natural environment to create renewable energy as well as reducing noise pollution to urban and industrial areas.
Committed to reducing our overall environmental impact
- Electric Vehicles
As well as keeping our current fleet at the highest of EU standards for emissions we are also incorporating electric vehicles to the fleet. We are always reviewing the latest trends in the electric vehicle market to keep our carbon footprint as low as possible.
- Vehicle Tracking
All of our vehicles are tracked to allow the closest resource to attend a site and emergency call out, thus reducing fuel usage, vehicle wear and tear and more. The tracking software is tuned to monitor carbon emissions to allow us to determine methods of reducing green house gases.
- Recycling
We recycle as much as possible from depot waste, batteries, old signs and cones. We also review our clients environmental commitments to ensure we keep our environmental impact at a minimum.
- In-house R&D
We are always looking at improving systems within the traffic management sector, Our primary project at present is involved in the design and build of our own traffic lights that will increase flow and our capable of being utilised within the constraints of our electric vehicle fleet.
