Using an EpiPen correctly can be life-saving. Here are the steps:

    1. Remove the EpiPen from its carrying case.
    2. Pull off the blue safety cap.
    3. Hold the EpiPen with the orange tip pointing downward.
    4. Firmly push the orange tip against the outer thigh until it clicks.
    5. Hold the EpiPen in place for 3 seconds.
    6. Remove the EpiPen and massage the injection area for 10 seconds.

    Key Points:

    • The EpiPen should be injected into the outer thigh, even through clothing if necessary.
    • Do not inject into a vein, buttock, fingers, toes, hands, or feet.
    • Always seek emergency medical help immediately after using an EpiPen.
