About the role:

There has never been a better time to join Hatton Traffic as a Traffic Management Operative. We are growing and we need YOU to join the team!

You will be joining the established team at our Tottenham Depot in North London on a permanent basis; however, the role may require infrequent travel to help teams across our other UK operations.

You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and removing temporary traffic management on roads in/around the community.  Your tasks will include distributing cones, signs, frames, and sandbags in adherence to Chapter 8.

A 12-hour day shift or 12-hour night shift will be worked for a minimum of five shifts in every seven days.  You will also be required to be available to work a minimum of two weekend shifts per calendar month (non-consecutive). The start time of your working day is not fixed as it is dependent on business requirements but will be within a window of 06:00 – 10:00 for day shift and between 18:00 to 21:00 for night shift.   We will give you as much notice of your starting time as possible. You will be required to be flexible and where necessary work overtime or bank holidays dependant on business needs. Included in the 12-hour shift, you will have a lunch break of 30 minutes per day which is not working time, and which is not paid.

On commencement of employment, you will be required to undertake a mandatory drugs test and due to the nature of the business and our client relationships, the company reserves the right to ask employees to undergo random drug testing.

What skills you need:

  • MUST be qualified to minimum NHSS Lantra 12D M5
  • Have a passion for working in Traffic Management
  • You possess a Full UK Driving licence with no more than 6 points
  • Self-starter and well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
  • Organised with attention to detail
  • Hardworking and Enthusiastic
  • Be able to pass a Drugs & Alcohol Check
  • Knowledge of Chapter 8
  • Have the right to work in UK
  • Team Player
